The Big Cat Shelf

Cats are really silly creatures
with big round eyes and furry features.
They sneak, they hide in different places,
and there is nowhere they haven’t put their faces.
They climb your curtains and snag your hose,
they knock down things and play with your toes.
You dangle a string and charge down the hall
and they bound after you having quite a ball.
I think wherever a cat may be
there will always be a happy family.

When the sun goes down and it’s time to rest
that’s when their behavior is at its best.
They curl up on your lap and begin to purr,
and you gently stroke their soft velvet fur.
It’s then you discover through all of their hints,
that all of those times were just precious moments.
