The Tangled Snickerpuss

He flew in and sat on my windowsill
and then hopped upon a book.

He looked around and pecked a bit
until I’d take a look.

He lighted upon a book of birds
stacked upon a book of words.
Zootanical! Botanical!

He sang again so that I’d look;
“Read!” He chirped, “Come and have your fill!”
